It's time for Thrifty Thursday!!
Woo hoo!!! A washboard!! I have been looking for a reasonably priced one for years now that was in good condition. I plan on actually using it for what it is intended for!! Cost - $5.00
Then I found this and just had to pick it up for Luke...he will love this being an archaeology major ...... cost $2.00. They are two separate pieces and I think the head is made to be a planter???
Happy Thrifting and remember to give your loved ones a hug!
Fabulous thrifty finds!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kimmie! I hope your day is going well.
DeleteGreat finds!! I love the washboard!
ReplyDeleteThanks Katharine and thanks for stopping by!
DeleteIsn't it nice when you find something you've been looking for?
ReplyDeleteOh yes, definitely! I always carry a list with me of wanted items. LOL
DeleteAn old-fasioned washboard?! So glad I have a machine to do that... ;-)) (Can you imagine a family of 10, doing all that laundry on a board like that? Oy...)
ReplyDeleteGreat finds!
No I could not imagine a family of 10! Wow. I just wish to do my linens with it so I can get them extra white.
DeleteGreat finds. Can't wait to get back to the thrift shops ... soon as I recover from my trip
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon...I bet it will take you a while to recover...it looks like such an amazing trip! Relax my friend.
DeleteI love washboards! I have a few hanging on the wall in my laundry room. I don't plan to actually use mine right away, but may have to some day. We inherited a cool wringer washer recently, and I may put that one to use.
ReplyDeleteOh Becky that is cool you have some too! I also have a wringer washer in the barn that I am planning on resurrecting once I get home. It works perfectly and I remember how fun it was to use growing up. Enjoy yours!
DeleteNice finds. That head is so unusual.
ReplyDeleteIt is, isn't it Rosemary. Thanks for stopping by!
