Homemade Pizza Dough

Oh so easy and oh so tasty!  Homemade pizza dough .... you just have to make it.  Buy it from the box?!  Buy the premixed packages?!  Buy the crust from the bakery section in the supermarket?!   Scandalous! 

Pizza crust is one of the easiest breads to make and when you have it once, you will never turn back.  Plus it is so much easier on the pocketbook .... just pennies to make.  Short of time?  It is approximately 3 to 4 minutes longer ... that's it!  All you have to do is drag out the ingredients from your pantry instead of opening a package.  Otherwise the process is virtually the same.

The recipe I use is as easy as can be. You don't have to wait for the dough ... just mix and plop on the pan, spread it out and add the toppings.  Nothing to it!


3 cups of all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon of white sugar
1 cup of warm water - approximately 110 degrees .... as hot as it can get coming out of the tap is about right
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 package of active dry yeast or 1 tablespoon if you buy in bulk like me

That's it ... no mixing and letting the dough rise or coating the dough in oil and letting sit.  Just mix, spread and top.  Easy, peasy.

  1. Good thing I just had diner (almost 6 pm here) or I would have been inspired to get baking....
    You really have to stop putting all those delicious things on your blog; I'm trying to loose weight!!!

  2. Hi Debbie, I agree with you that homemade pizza is the best - Everybody gets their pizza just as they wish! I found also a dough a few years ago that is easy & fast - and it works every time :-)
