This week I want to focus on health and beauty pins.  Since spring is here, it makes me think of getting in shape and taking care of myself.

Good old Dr. Oz.....this is a great article and definitely pin-worthy!  The top 5 anti-aging spices....don't we all want to stop aging?

This week I am focusing on sayings that I love and wish to transfer them to wood ..... yep, wood.  I notice on my daily walks that our old barn took a bad beating this winter and well once all the snow is gone, it will be time to do some repairs to the old girl.  There is one area where the boards will have to be removed and since the wood has a wonderful faded, red hue to it, I want to use them for some artwork.

Here are the three sayings I hope to transfer to the barn wood sometime this summer.

Since the snow is finally melting, I can now begin to think of the gardening that I will be doing this summer so my three favorite pins for gardening are .....

The herb wheel.  I LOVE this idea.  It would keep all the herbs contained in one area and I could plant it close to the kitchen door so all I would have to do is pop out, cut what I need for dinner and it would be handy to water as well!

Herb wheel

Next up, a new doormat.  I definitely have enough rocks!  I think this would be so helpful to keep the dirt out of the house and it doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to make.

<3 Beautiful and easy

The final one for today ..... although I do have a ton of gardening pins is this idea ..... we need a new firepit in another area of the yard so I would like to try this method.

Fire pit from old wheelbarrow--great idea.....

I think it would be handy as we could easily move it around as the shade from the trees move.  LOL

I am still pushing my knitting time before the heat hits ..... although I think heat will be a while yet!  Here are three of my favorite knitting pins.  If you knit, maybe you would like to check them out as well.

I would LOVE  a pair of these, or two, or three.  Yoga socks!  Perfect.  These will definitely be on the needles this fall.

knit your own yoga socks.

Next up, a pair of fingerless gloves.  There are many patterns out there but this one I LOVE.  It incorporates both knitting and crocheting.  Are they not pretty?!  The pattern is free just like the yoga socks!

pretty fingerless mitts - crochet + knit - free pattern

Last but not least, something for Christmas. Knitted Christmas trees!

This week's focus will be Easter!  My top three include .....

Isn't this just adorable?  If I would have found it earlier on Pinterest, I would have made one for myself.  Unfortunately I just found it the other day and since the grass won't grow that fast, it will have to wait until next year.  Although there is no link, the creator did leave this description.....

Plant an Easter Garden! Using potting soil, a tiny buried flower pot for the tomb, shade grass seed, and crosses we made from twigs. Sprinkle grass seed generously on top of dirt, keep moistened using a spray water bottle. Spritz it several times a day. Set it in a warm sunny location. Sprouts in 7-10 days so plan ahead. On Good Friday, put a little Lego Jesus inside and slide rock to seal tomb. On Sunday the tomb is EMPTY! He is Risen! He is Risen indeed!

Next up ..... these cute bunnies made from wooden candlesticks.  I am going to have to watch for some at yard sales this year!  If you look at the link, you will see, she even added a pom pom tail to the back!

And last but not least ..... I think this is the best idea for egg salad anywhere!  Look at these?!  Quite easy and so perfect for the Easter table.

My focus this week is on shabby chic ..... just because I love the look.  These are three easy crafts to make in the future .... sooner than later, I hope.

First an adorable planter.  I just need to find the right crepe ribbon with roses as I love the look of this....so pretty!  Although the website is in a different language, her pictures pretty much explain how to make it using an old soup can!

I just love these hangers and although it is a link to purchase them, with a little mod podge and some pretty paper, I think I can figure it out.

Another pin that doesn't explain the process.  There seems to be more and more of these on Pinterest.  Such a shame since it is difficult to give credit to the creator of the crafts.  I would use an old frame with some pretty paper,  a couple of drawer handles and some paint to create this little beauty.  Just in time to enjoy some iced tea on the deck.  If the snow ever melts!

Since I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day yesterday, I chose today for Three Pin Thursday.

I am been viewing some embroidery links.  I haven't embroidered for a while but after surfing through Pinterest the other night, I think I will have to take it up again.

Good morning my friends and to my new followers!  I am so glad you joined me and I wish you the warmest of welcomes.

Thursdays are my Three Pin Thursday post from Pinterest.  My top three favorites for the week!

I am focusing on garden pins this week since I am beginning to think of spring and beginning to get excited with the thought of getting my hands dirty once again!

First up.  This is just amazing!  What a lawn ornament!!!  Made entirely from old shovels.

Large pine cone made from shovel heads. REALLY big pinecone ( need this in our pasture close to the highway)

Next up, a great way to start your seedlings!  When ready to transplant, just pop the whole works right into the ground.  Clever!

good idea, start your tomato seeds like this then put the whole thing in the ground when you plant them, the tomatoes will thrive off the egg shells

And lastly, just because I think it is ADORABLE ...... what a cute addition to downspouts ..... and I would want mine yellow as well!

Water can rain spout

There you have it.  My top three garden pins for the week.  Enjoy pinning and remember to give your loved ones a hug!
